Those who have done business with Digitus Biometrics already know that our company is “modeled” as an engineering and design firm. We have a core staff of engineering and design talent that is focused on the application of our biometric access control platform. All non-core functions at Digitus are outsourced. As an example, we do not have a direct sales force. We depend on others to take us to market.
We believe this model has served our customers well and will continue to serve them will into the future. It enables us to keep our costs down and remain flexible and quick to act on new applications. Because of the inherent architecture, our technology platform is flexible and modifiable. As we continue on our quest to lower the cost of our products and shrink the profile, we hope to be introduced to new and exciting applications for our biometric access control platform. Please feel free to bring us your ideas for potential applications. We’d love to explore them with you.

Let’s face it. The list of government and accounting regulations targeting the data center, both public and private, are numbing. PCI DSS, SSAE16, FISMA, and HIPAA are a few of the numbers and acronyms on this list that you have to comply with. Your challenge is trying to find a set of published recommendations that a data center can follow to be “compliant” in the eyes of an auditor or whoever may want to challenge your efforts to provide a reasonable solution to data center security/access.
